In 1939, the US Army called on Capewell to develop a parachute canopy release that would allow paratroopers to quickly disengage their chutes and prevent the paratroopers from being dragged. Nearly eighty years later, Capewell releases are still standard issue for U.S. Military paratroopers and for allied forces around the world. Capewell Aerial Systems also manufactures an array of specialty components and devices for military and sport parachutists and aerial delivery—including ripcords, lanyards, pins and grips.
If you are looking to develop custom parachute products, our product development team is familiar with the stress factors and dynamics that parachutists encounter and is well versed in military and Federal Aviation Administration requirements.
