Our engineering team is one of the most knowledgeable in the industry, with deep experience in international design standards, systems analysis, stress analysis, safety, maintainability and reliability techniques. We work with a wide range of materials and offer in-depth knowledge of the product design and qualification processes. Our staff is supported by the latest design tools, including 3D design (Inventor) and Finite Element Analysis (Autodesk Simulation Mechanical), as well as state-of-the-art machining centers for prototype and development samples.

Our Product Development Process

Capewell utilizes an operational stage-gate process for new product development. This method allows us to maintain a focused, systematic approach to developing both new products and product modifications. Development teams must perform to defined project goals with specific milestones before proceeding to the next step. Results are closely monitored by CAS management and customers are kept in the loop every step of the way. We utilize the same process on customer-funded development projects that we use on our internal product R&D.

Testing and Evaluation

Our engineers ensure that each new product is designed to perform flawlessly and to withstand the theoretical loads and stresses that will be encountered in-use. But there is no substitute for physical simulations and real-world testing. Our Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) programs provide customers with measureable proof and certifications that products will perform as designed.
